Will Jaaskelainen started his goalkeeping career as a youngster at English Premier League side Bolton Wanderers progressing through their Academy system until he was released.
Jaaskelainen trialled at Finnish side VSP before securing a 3 year deal with English Football League side Crewe Alexandra in 2017 aged 18.
Will Jaaskelainen, son of Premiership Legend Jussi Jaaskelainen, spent the early part of his Crewe Alexandra career out on loan with spells at Nantwich Town, Chester, Loughborough Dynamo & Buxton to gain competitive experience.
Jaaskelainen was recalled by his parent club Crewe Alex in March 2019 and made his full senior debut for ‘The Railwaymen’ a month later in April 2019.
Now back under the stewardship of Crewe Alex’s Head Goalkeeping Coach & Pro SK Director Fred Barber, Will Jaaskelainen’s goalkeeper coaching development has been swift. He dislodged first team regulars Ben Garratt & Dave Richards to claim top spot and established himself as Finland’s number one at U21 International level.
Will Jaaskelainen started the 2019/20 season as the senior first team goalkeeper at The Alexandra Stadium and can often be found inspiring the next generation of aspiring young goalkeepers at Pro SK Goalkeeping Camps, Keeper Schools and Train Like a Pro Events
